Need For Speed

Looks like the beloved Mustang will once again take top billing in a movie.  Looks like this time it's a 900hp 5.8L supercharged V8.

Which begs the question..what's your favorite Mustang Movie star

2013 Mustang GT, GT 500 and Boss 302 at LA Auto Show

Looks like Ford unveil the new look for the 2013 Mustang.  Looks like it has heavily "borrowed" from the Shelby Cobra.  Ford is boasting the GT 500 will be the most powerful production V-8 in the world with a top speed of 200 MPH.  It will crank out 650 HP which is out performs not only the Camaro but is more horsepower that even the Corvette LS-1 at 638 HP.

The GT  and Boss 302 are no joke as well with 420 HP and 440 HP respectfully.  With other goodies such as SelectShift automatic transmission and an optional GT track package it looks like it will be an interesting year for Mustang owners.  Check out the GT500, the Boss 302, and the GT at StangNet.

Sound off in the forums to let us know what you guys think of the new 'Stang.

Gatlinburg 2011

Members of the Barren River Mustangs set off for Gatlinburg in early June.  We made a run at the Dragon's Tail at Deals Gap (one young passanger didn't have such a good time).  We raced Go Carts and generally just had a good time.  Hopefully next year we'll be able to do it again.

Toys For Tots

The Barren River Mustangs recently joined the Bowling Green Mustangs in a cruise through Bowling Green, KY.  All clubs attending were there to help bring awareness and contribute to Toys For Tots.  After cruising and donating toys for children that would otherwise go without on Christmas the Barren River Mustangs also donated their time in filling several orders that would go out to families needing assistance during the Holidays.
